Amalthea’s Secret – Very Little Jewelry. An update!

The occasional unique pendant, or collar aside, I’m not a really big jewelry person. I spend too much time digging in the dirt and doing messy crafts to be too highly adorned, but today I saw a ring that has completely won me over.

The Gear Ring from Kinekt Design has just about made my head explode with desire.  The ring is made from matte, stainless steel (a *squee* on two counts, as I prefer non-shiny silver things) and it features six FUNCTIONAL  micro-precision gears that turn when you twist the outer ring. The only heartbreaker here is that currently, the ring is only available from the site in US ring sizes 9-12 and I’m a 5.5. They do indicate that you can request other sizes though, so I’m off to make an attempt to secure a tiny one!

A quick update! Right after we posted this, we heard back from Kinekt (great customer service guys, thanks!) They told us the following:

YES we plan to make the Gear Ring in other sizes. Currently, we only offer
sizes 9, 10, 11, and 12 but will be adding additional sizes based on the
requests we have been receiving.

We are working on getting size 5,6,7, 8 and 13. I personally believe they
will be ready in approx 35 to 40 days or so. I will have a better eta in
approx two weeks.

Also, in the meantime, please add your email to our mailing list so that
we can keep you updated. We are not able to add your email due to the
privacy policy. As a result, you will need to sign up (submit your email).
